What are the health benefits of grapeseed oil?

Grapeseed oil is rich in antioxidants and Vitamin E,  and helps maintain healthy HDL and LDL cholesterol levels. It is also purported to have regenerative and restructuring virtues due to its essential fatty acid content which is important for skin and cell membranes.

What is agave nectar?

Agave nectar is a sweet syrup derived from the agave cactus plant. It is has a low glycemic index so it does not raise blood sugar levels,  the way refined sugar does, and can be safely used by diabetics.

What is Xylitol?

Xylitol is the commercial name for a naturally occuring sugar called xylose commonly derived from birch trees, fruits and vegetables. It has all the sweetness of common sugars, yet has 40% fewer calories.

Xylitol is metabolized without insulin so it creates a significantly lower glycemic effect when eaten. Good news for diabetics.

The health benefits of Xylitol extend to dental use as well. It inhibits the ability of bacteria to adhere to the teeth, reducing the production of the acids that dissolve tooth enamel and lead to tooth decay.

Another health benefit of xylitol is that it may help prevent osteoporosis. Recent studies in Finland have shown that xylitol helps maintain and increase bone density.

Organic fruits, vegetables and grains are grown without the use of insecticides and other harmful elements. This benefits the growers, the consumers and the environment.

At Sweet Debbie's we only use ingredients that have NOT been contaminated by unhealthful chemicals, preservatives, trans fatty acids or hydrogenated oils.

What does it mean when something is vegan?

A vegan is someone who is seeking a lifestyle free from animal products. Therefore when a food product is vegan it means it does not contain any animal products including milk, eggs and honey.

What does it mean when something is gluten-free?

A food that is gluten-free contains no wheat, rye or barley.

How can I let you know I want  my order vegan or gluten-free?

Is there an extra charge for a gluten-free or vegan order?

There is no extra charge for vegan orders, but there is an extra .25 charge per item for gluten-free orders and a 1 dozen minimum purchase.

Are your cookies hard and crisp or moist and chewy?

Our cookies are moist and chewy, but,upon special request,we can certainly make them hard and crisp especially for you.

How long will it take to receive my package once I order?

We ship Fed Ex 2-Day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. If you would like your package overnighted, please phone in your order and let us know. If you live in Los Angeles, just call in your order and it will be received the same day as long as you call before 10 a.m.

How much do you charge for delivery and shipping?

Delivery is free for orders going to Hollywood, West Hollywood, West LA, Santa Monica, Burbank, N. Hollywood, Studio CIty, Sherman Oaks, Encino and Woodland Hills. If you live outside these areas please call to find out delivery or shipment charge.
