Mommies Know Best
|
As an allergy mom, I am getting to know a myriad of mommies dealing with all sorts of challenging issues, including food allergies, autism, celiac disease, and ADD/ADHD. I am quickly realizing that we all have one common goal - to help make our immediate world a cleaner, safer and healthier place for our children. Part of this commitment involves feeding our offspring organic food in order to lower their exposure to pesticides, hormones and steroids. We don't know yet what is causing the increasing incidences of the aforementioned conditions, but we are determined to get to the bottom of it, even if it involves digging our own dirt and planting our own turnips! Turnips? Yuck! "Let's plant our own cupcakes", says my 4-year-old.

Kelly Rutherford, of "Gossip Girl" fame, is one fabulous eco and organic-conscious mom, and is seen here, on the right, partaking of a Sweet Debbie's cupcake at a charity event sponsored by the green fashion and style company Eco Stiletto.
At Sweet Debbie's, we continue to do research with physicians and food scientists to help us provide our customers and their children with the most satisfying desserts while adhering safely to any dietary restrictions they may have.
